Need to stop doing my drunken ‘Everybody is shit’ speech.
It’s not as bad as it sounds, I pretty much explain the following:
If you have a baseline expectation that everybody in the world is shit, when you meet people who are not so shit/are good people, then it’s a nice surprise.
But at the same time you acknowledge that everyone is shit, then you are never let down by people being shit.
Apparently this is quite a cynical approach, but it has treated me well.
